OX3 Rides A Harley
Two and a half million devices processed and packaged by OX3 will soon be riding on Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The Harley-Davidson Motor Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin has awarded contracts for components to be packaged by OX3 Corporation of Ayer, Massachusetts. Both the TO-263 and heat-sink packages will be used in voltage regulators on Harley Davidson® motorbikes. Deliveries by OX3 will flow through two key suppliers. One is a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of innovative motor controls for the worldwide motor markets that designs award-winning semiconductor devices known for reliability and overcoming tough engineering challenges. The other is a vertically-integrated manufacturer of progressive metal stampings that produces custom electrical terminals and other complex light metal progressive die stampings with integrated tool and die capabilities. Wherever electronic devices are used, OX3 Corporation consistently demonstrates capable performance in the packaging of components for use in assembly lines requiring speed and accuracy of placement.
Playing a key role in OX3's procurement of these contracts has been its General Manager, Mehul N. Shah who was quickly able to provide our customers' engineering staffs with internal documents showing process steps already in place to package semiconductors in accordance with electronic, moisture, and static regulations from various governing bodies within the industry such as JEDEC and EIA. These contracts are the latest in a string of high-volume orders, which Mr. Shah added: "have been the focus of our 2006 business plan. We intend to gradually shift the company's production capability from its existing low-volume high-mix to gradually introduce high-volume low-mix into the equation."
