The Client's Request:
We were approached by a client with a request to repackage Samtec connectors from tube to carrier tape.
OX3's Solution:
In under two weeks, we engineered a 72mm wide carrier with a 12mm pitch to accommodate this device. The NRE Charges were under $800, and enough carrier was made to allow for future orders without further tooling. Added depth in the carrier pocket was designed to allow for the application of a Kapton pad, which will ease pick-‘n-place.
