NAICS Code: 334413 Semiconductor and Related Device Manufacturing;
Outsourced semiconductor assembly and testing services (OSATS)
Market Size: $35 Billion.

A semiconductor is the mechanical and electrical assembly of a circuit encased in protective coating. Semiconductors require specialty materials for their storage, transport and handling. Outsourced semiconductor assembly and testing services (OSATS) can compliment manufacturing and distribution processes. OX3.com® focuses on the wholesale import/export and distribution of specialty materials for semiconductors used in industrial, consumer, and medical applications. These are typically tapes, trays, tubes, totes, reels or other fixtures. Services include engineering, storage, transport, handling, baking, importing and exporting.

Increasing packaging costs often illustrate the benefit of adopting an outsourcing model. With electronics becoming increasingly complex and sophisticated, the requirements for advanced and customized packaging solutions are on the rise.
